Why am I being asked to provide credentials on certain products requiring proof of occupation?

I. Acceptance of Terms
Ray O’Herron Company reserves the right to accept or reject any and all orders, regardless of the manner in which the order is made. Ray O’Herron Company, further reserves the right to limit or deny the use of promotions to unauthorized resellers.
II. Place of Sale.
Ray O’herron Company reserves the right to accept or reject any and all orders, regardless of the manner in which the order is made. Orders become valid in and the sale shall be deemed made in Danville, Illinois, subject to the terms set forth herein, when accepted by Ray O’Herron Company, in Danville, Illinois. All sales are subject to the laws of the state of Illinois, and the venue for all disputes shall be in the courts of Illinois. No change, modification, or revision of your order shall be made unless agreed to in writing by Ray O’Herron Company. Any terms and conditions set forth in the buyer’s purchase order shall not be materially alter terms and conditions set forth herein.
III. Restrictions on the purchase or possession of specific products.
A. Firearms, Magazines and ammunition & related items. At Ray O’Herron Company some of the firearms and ammunition that we offer for sale are restricted to law enforcement officers and first responders only. If you are unable to provide us with the required ID’s and paperwork we will reject the sale upon purchase.
B. Law Enforcement items. Ray O’Herron Company restricts the sale of selected products such as, but not limited to, Badges, Embroidered apparel, nameplates, insignia, emblems, and collar pins that identify the holder or wearer as a member of any law enforcement or other agency specific titles. Orders for such products must be shipped to an approved agency address. Placing an order for products that are subject to any legal restrictions, affirms Ray O’Herron Company that the purchaser is authorized to make such purchase, and is in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws concerning the same. Ray O’Herron Company may verify employment of any person ordering such items.
C. Body Armor. Ray O’Herron Company restricts the sale of body armor and related products (including but not limited to, concealment body armor, tactical body armor, ballistic plates, ballistic shields, and helmets) to public safety professionals, members of the United States military and or corporate and private security officers. Orders for such products must be shipped to an approved agency or corporate address. Ray O’Herron Company reserves the right to refuse or deny the sale of body armor and related products to any individual who is unable to provide us with the appropriate documentation.

Ray O’Herron Company reserves the right to correct website errors, including, but not limited to, the right to cancel a processing order if the item is priced incorrectly.
